  1. What's new with jambient

  4. jambient is now released!
  5. -------------------------
  6. jambient has been through a stable beta 
  7. period nearly a year long, with 
  8. thousands of downloads on our site and on 
  9. the web. It was in stable use in 
  10. performance for more than two years. 
  11. before the beta release.

  13. The text of the help file is complete, but 
  14. will be in for another round of editing.
  15.  
  16. The help file now includes a graphical Quick 
  17. Guide which gives an overview of using jambient,
  18. as well as Flash Tutorials and most of the 
  19. graphics that we eventually want to put into 
  20. the file.

  22. At this point we want to see what kind of 
  23. support we will get from the community of
  24. jambient users. Support us, buy jambient!

  29. jambient will run for 30 days and then time out.

  31. You can register jambient through RegNow.com
  32. for only $50 US, which gives you a license
  33. for unlimited use of this version and all 
  34. subsequent versions of jambient.

  36. Future releases
  37. ---------------------------
  38. For the next release, we plan an improved timing
  39. and pattern mechanism, with accompanying changes
  40. to the interface. The new pattern mechanism 
  41. will let you lay out LoopTrack events in time, 
  42. and draw pitch and volume curves, as with the current
  43. version of jambient. Our aim is to make something
  44. cross between a drum machine and an audio
  45. montage layout program, keeping jambient's
  46. commitment to micro-rhythms and ambient
  47. music, but also letting you snap loops
  48. to a beat, if you want.

  50. In future releases we may integrate new capabilities
  51. that come with DirectX8. Stay tuned for details
